In addition to this completed application form, current TLU students should submit the following items to complete their application to the MAcy program:

Required: Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended OTHER than TLU.
Optional: Letter providing additional information to be considered by the admissions committee.

Note: Letters of reference and GMAT scores may be requested at the discretion of the MAcy committee.

Current students must also complete or meet the following requirements to be considered for admission to the MAcy Program:

Be declared an accounting major
Have completed a minimum of 6 semester credit hours of upper undergraduate accounting, including Intermediate Accounting 1
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in accounting coursework and an overall GPA of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work
Have a grade of at least a “C” in Intermediate Accounting

In addition to this completed application form, students transferring to TLU are required to complete or submit the following items to complete their application to the MAcy Program:

Application to TLU as a transfer student using the TLU Application, Apply Texas, or The Common Application. Please note: additional items are required to be submitted to the Office of Admissions to complete your TLU application file, including official transcripts from all institutions attended.
Optional: Letter providing additional information to be considered by the admissions committee.
Optional: Current Resume

Applicants to the MAcy degree program must have successfully completed a minimum of 6 semester credit hours of upper-level undergraduate accounting, including Intermediate Accounting l. Qualifying courses and their equivalents include:

BUSI 332: Accounting Information Systems
BUSI 343: Intermediate Accounting l
BUSI 334: Intermediate Accounting ll
BUSI 336: Individual Income Tax
BUSI 376: Managerial Cost Accounting
BUSI 478: Auditing Principles

For each pre-requisite that you have completed or which is in-progress, please provide the name of the course, your enrollment status, credits, grade, and semester. If you did not take a course at TLU, please provide the name and course prefix for the course you did take under Equivalent Course Name.
